Spicy Tuna Salad Lettuce Wraps

This simple and delicious keto lettuce-wrapped tuna salad is a perfect low-carb option for a quick lunch or dinner. The tuna salad, spiced up with chili flakes and served in a crisp lettuce wrap, makes for a satisfying and healthy meal.



This recipe can really be made to your own liking with most of the ingredients below being optional (celery, red onion, tomatoes, etc.), so make it your own!


Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp chopped red onion

  • 2 tbsp chopped celery

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

  • 8 large lettuce leaves

  • 1 avocado, sliced

  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, red onion, celery, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Mix until well combined.

  2. To assemble the lettuce wraps, place a lettuce leaf on a plate and add a spoonful of the tuna salad to the center.

  3. Top the tuna salad with sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes, and fresh cilantro.

  4. Roll up the lettuce wrap to enclose the tuna salad and toppings, and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat with the remaining lettuce leaves and tuna salad.
